It took us an hour from our company hostel to Dazaifu by another train route by other railway company, Nishitetsu. Two and fro was RM18.

The entrance to Dazaifu is shown in the picture on the right. Both sides of the road leading inside are lines of souvenir shops. Among the souvenir shops are some restaurant selling so called Japanese cuisine as well. A few went to a greater length to set a man-made Japanese garden behind their shops just to create a Japanese dining atmosphere. There's a Japanese snack that is worth trying. It is made of rice powder and red bean. The outer layer is crispy-fried with red bean paste inside. Its 110 yen (RM3.30) per piece.
What we least expected was the traditional dance competition being held there. Well, killing two birds with one stone.........I managed to capture some moments with the dancers too.
